Abeba Debaudre Negga

Abeba assists French and European clients with their corporate law, securities regulations and corporate governance matters.

She is specialized in structuring and negotiating M&A transactions, strategic alliances and equity investments in France and abroad. On the strength of her capital markets experience, she advises listed companies and their governing bodies on equity capital market transactions (public offerings, capital increases, share buy-backs).

In addition to her transactional practice, Abeba assists fast-growing companies in complying with regulations and standards applicable to listed companies (financial and extra-financial reporting, prevention of market abuse, specific corporate governance rules and best practices) as part of IPO-readiness programs and throughout their listing. 

With the transition to sustainable growth models requiring social and environmental issues to be properly handled, Abeba assists companies and their managers in addressing their social and environmental responsibilities (compliance audits, extra-financial reporting, charters and codes of conduct, duty of care and stakeholder relations) and in implementing best governance practices.

Prior to joining Emeriane Avocats, Abeba worked in the M&A teams of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and PR Associés, where she was co-opted as a partner in 2023. She is a member of the Paris and New York Bars. She is a member of the Regulatory Committee set up by Euronext to issue opinions and make proposals on the regulations applicable to listed companies.
